My husband and I hiked the AT in 1997 from Gatlinburg to Pearisburg under the trail names Gypsy and Mufasa. Are there any other thru hikers here that we may have met? We were not married at the time, "Mufasa" actually proposed to me on the trail (while camped out on the lawn of Mountain Mamma's). That hike was the most amazing time of my life. I would love to do it again someday. We met one of our best friends on the trail too, he hiked with us for several weeks, went by the name of "Betwixt".
