Re: AT Burners
Tue, April 26, 2005 - 6:10 PMwill you be making it this year??
i posed the question cuz I'm a BM virgin whose planning on going this year (alone). I'm used to the backcountry 'carry your own' mentality - the theme camp thing doesn't seem like my style (unless I just haven't found the right one).
i am hoping to get some advice from some AT/backcountry folks who also burn.... if your friends can advise, i'd be much appreciative!!! -

Re: AT Burners
Wed, April 27, 2005 - 11:35 AMI suspect you'll want to rely on your own backcountry skills from the AT and just find burners on tribe to talk about burning man ... from what I've gathered from people I've met on tribe.net, burningman isn't really backcountry camping so much as a gathering of artists who like to burn their work after they've displayed it, and the people who enjoy seeing such stuff ... they all move in using trucks, RVs, campers, helicopters, and airplanes ... if I can believe the pictures ... burningman isn't a backpackers gathering at all ...
